
Minors victorious in Knockdoe
Minors defeated Kilkerrin/Williamstown on Wednesday last in Knockdoe on a scoreline 3-10 to 1-08. Mike Coyles charges led for the whole duration of the encounter and apart from a spell in the 2nd half, were never really troubled by a poor and lacklustre opposition. Claregalway led comfortably at the break courtesy of scores from Ben Creaven, Craig Hansberry and goals from Cathal Evans and Andrew Dolan who caused problems. Galway minor Gary Kelly did his best to stem the tide in the second half and caught the eye with some good scores from play and placed balls. Claregalway eventually killed the tie with another goal and the game was well won in the end. Claregalway had some good individual displays from Richie Commins, Kevin Brennan, Paul Fahy ,Mark Coyle and Andrew Dolan. This brings Claregalways league tally to 3 points from a possible 4.
